Business Controller – Power Technique Customer Center

The Business Controller is a key position and forms part of the Company’s management team.

The Business Controller supports management in making effective business decisions through accurate, relevant, and timely business and financial analysis. You will be expected to participate in business activities and actively contribute to developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets. In addition, you will be required to ensure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Group processes are implemented, raising “red flags” to management whenever compliance with sound business principles is at risk. The Business Controller will also be responsible for the financial coaching and development of the Management team.

This role reports to the General Manager of Power Technique Customer Center – India and is responsible for the AC and CP brands of the PT Business Area.

Essential Job Functions:-

• Ensure financial reporting and accounting are in line with FAM guidelines and legal requirements.
• Be a speaking partner to the General Manager regarding the business of the company.
• Promote transparency in facts and figures to ensure a decision process based on adequate and objective information.
• Actively participate in the planning process and prepare quarterly expectancies.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and controls.
• Ensure that appropriate risk awareness and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal auditors receive necessary support.
• Assist in preparation of Company Review Meeting / Business Review Meeting packages.
• Responsible for periodic management reporting, analysis, scorecards and executive summaries.
• Maintain a close relationship with Business Line Manager’s to coordinate customer sales strategies.
• Work in close cooperation with Atlas Copco Shared Services on Accounting and Financial Reporting
• Cooperate and collaborate with Divisional controlling departments.
• Utilize and share leading practices through interaction with other parts of the Group.
• Raise “red flags” if and when required and provide timely warning signals for any gaps or deviations.
• Manage and protect the Company’s assets. Monitor and manage inventory levels and receivables.
• Motivate and train employees regarding business acumen and financial understanding.

Qualifications:-

• Track record in in business controlling functions
• Good knowledge of Customer Center activities along with demonstrated leadership in implementing policies and procedures in compliance with “The Way We Do Things”
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

Knowledge:-

• High level of IT proficiency.
• Prior experience from working with SAP ERP is a benefit.
• Strong verbal and written skills in English.
