Role Accountabilities:-

  • The individual should have extensive experience in advanced Power System modelling & analysis
  • Must demonstrate experience in decision-making and solution development across all scales—from small industrial systems to complex national power grids
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables including complex reports, proposals, presentations with the GBA Power Delivery Team.
  • Conducting power system transient studies, including insulation coordination, switching transients, and motor starting
  • Conducting power flow, short circuit, reactive power, and power quality studies, including grid compliance studies.
  • Conducting protection coordination, relay settings, arc flash and power quality studies.
  • Conducting power system dynamic studies including grid connection studies for renewable integration.
  • Taking personal responsibility for the preparation of engineering documentation and leading the engineering effort for project including providing technical and performance oversight for members of the power team.
  • To manage selected projects, project task/responsibilities as assigned, and/or design processes (or parts of projects) to meet agreed budget, quality and timeframe targets.
  • Provide technical leadership, direction and support to the design team and deliver fully documented designs to meet Client objectives and Arcadis quality system requirements.
  • Identify the gap and develop the technical competency of team and ensure the application of relevant international standards and engineering knowledge in various projects.
  • Plan, organize, estimate, schedule and effectively monitor all work activities.
  • Participate in regular meetings and correspond with Clients.
  • Conduct internal reviews and quality checks of deliverables to ensure compliance with the project’s requirements.
  • Leading interdisciplinary coordination as required for the project.
  • Understanding scope and change in scope when it arises.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required relevant to the role from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience:-

  • At least 20 years of experience in Power System modelling/ analysis & conducting various Power System Studies, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Chartership with EC UK or equivalent
  • Consulting experience in the US / UK & Europe / Australia regions.
  • Exposure in International standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA etc.
  • PhD or Post graduate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power Systems Engineering from a recognized University.
  • Experience in ETAP, DIgSILENT, CDEGS, SKM, PSCAD, EMTP-RV, PSSE etc or other similar software tools.
  • Experience in creating and implementing employee learning and development initiatives
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations.
  • Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management.
  • Actively continue to develop technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training.
