Assistant MFG Engineer

Essential Functions:-

• Responsible for scheduling the Heat treatment & synchro machining shop floor and managing the shop floor to meet organizational goals.
• The position is also responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and for continuously improving the work systems through ELS and problem solving
• Develop shop floor schedules to meet customer demand and plant goals.  Key considerations include meeting customer on time delivery, maximizing efficiency and minimizing scrap.
• Hands on experience of All Heat Treat Equipment (SQF, Carburizing process for Gear manufacturing). Hands on experience of Metallurgy inspection. Trouble shooting of HT processes.
• Basic gear machining knowledge
• Willing to work in shifts
• Shift manpower planning to meet organizational goals
• Promote and sustain ELS disciplines and improvements.  Ensure that standardized practices are followed where applicable. Knowledge of Quality management systems.
• Evaluate shop floor training needs (including cross training) and provide as needed.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe work environment.
• Monitor performance of production personnel and identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions as appropriate
• Provide strong leadership to develop a participative and continuous improvement culture in the organization
• Ensure that all regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported, and followed on the shop floor
• Support implementation of key certification requirements – EBEA, ISO14001, EQS, IATF, MESH
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Education: BE Metallurgy
• Experience range 1 – 3 years. For Diploma in ME – experience above 3 years
• Understand basic ELS tools such as setup reduction and 5S
• Supervisor/Leadership skills
• Analytical problem-solving skills
• ERP knowledge
• Good to have production planning skills.
