Assistant Manager – Production

You will be working as Assistant Manager – Production and will be reporting to Production Manager and part of Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions based in Nashik. In this role you will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:-

• Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions.
• Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommend frame agreements to management, and executes upon approval.
• Analyse and evaluates bids in order to determine the optimal value.
• Supports bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information.
• Track goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing.
• Oversee supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues.
• Initiate purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard. procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
• Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
• Conducts all Procurement & Logistics activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 to 7 years of overall experience with 2 to 3 years of experience in domestic and imports purchase.
• Strong experience in Buying.
• Experience in Switchgear industry is an advantage.
