Job Description
As a Assistant Manager/Manager – Origination, you will have explicit P&L responsibility and shall report to the Head of Origination. You will be responsible to generate leads and build a relationship with Merchant Generators and Distribution companies. You will also be responsible to innovating and customising products and services for generators and distribution companies. Your role includes developing a strong stakeholder network and relationships across the power sector in India. Key accountabilities and expectations of your role also include:
- Originate new opportunities and develop products that Statkraft can offer to its clients; identify risk mitigation measures and ensure competitiveness of deals.
- Engage and contribute to the Origination / Business Development team.
- Coordinate with other teams such as Operations, Risk Management, Finance, Legal and Compliance.
- Manage workflow including appropriate planning and prioritisation.
- Accountable for the quality of delivery and results achieved by the Origination team
- Ensure Statkraft Code of Conduct and Business Policies are followed closely and strictly
- Adhere to the needs of proper documentation and reporting as per Company processes
Qualification And Experience:-
- University degree with prior experience in the Indian power sector and Power Trading.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in the power sector with focus on contracting with Generators and DISCOM’s.
- Exposure in RE project business development and product designing.
- Have an analytical skill set with proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to quickly grasp the commercial aspects of the transaction and identify workable solutions for risk mitigation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to gain understanding through listening, and to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in Deep Portal bidding is desirable.
- Self-motivated individual who can also inspire his/her colleagues in a positive manner.
- Demonstrated high levels of integrity, sound judgement, and an honest and ethical approach.
- Enjoy traveling and interacting with people from different social and cultural backgrounds.
