Assistant Manager EHS

We are seeking a motivated EHS Officer to join our team for the construction and operation of Green Hydrogen plants in India. The EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Environmental, Health and Safety policies, programs, and procedures at Hygenco’s Green Hydrogen plants. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction safety, process safety, Hydrogen/ gas safety and relevant work experience in a similar role.

This role requires frequent travel to project/ plant sites and regular engagement with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:-

• Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures for the construction and operation of Green Hydrogen plant.
• Conduct EHS audits and inspections to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
• Make and deliver regular safety training programs for employees and contractors onsite.
• Investigate incidents/ accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct mock drills.
• Maintain EHS documentation as per applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards related to construction and operation of the plant.
• Monitor and evaluate safety indicators and report for management regularly.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and communicate safety-related information to employees and contractors.
• Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to ensure safety requirements are integrated into all aspects of the project.

Qualifications and Experience:-

• B.Tech Fire Safety Engineering or B.Tech Electrical/ Mechanical engineering with Diploma in Safety Management from recognised institution
• Minimum of 05 years of experience as EHS Officer in industrial construction, process plants, Hydrogen/ Gas manufacturing plant
• Knowledge of construction safety and process safety management
• Knowledge of EHS regulations in India and other standards (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ ISO 45001)
• Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis and other Safety Officer activities
• Strong written and verbal communication in English, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including projects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
