Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Contribution to R&D initiatives aimed at innovating and improving high voltage systems
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and high voltage technology
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team
  • Provide mechanical engineering expertise in the design, development, and maintenance of HV Switchgear and Cables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize mechanical components and systems for durability and performance
  • Perform failure analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance system reliability
  • Oversee the integration of new mechanical designs and modifications into existing systems
  • Implement lifecycle design maintenance activities for HV Switchgear and Cables
  • Conduct lifecycle assessments and analyses to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to projects related to HV Switchgear and Cables, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives
  • Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and project updates to management

Qualifications and Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical / Similar Specialization
  • Challenge the organization and suppliers to contribute with high quality solutions and products
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design activities, with a high focus on mechanical engineering
  • Experience with high voltage systems is highly valuable
  • Structured, open-minded, trusted, aspirational, communicative, self-motivated & robust
  • Good at presenting technical material to peers and management

Competencies:-

  • Deep understanding of high voltage engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and regulatory requirements for HV Switchgear and Cable
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective project management and organizational abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a consistent, diverse environment and maintain multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel as needed for research collaboration, testing, and industry events
  • High commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
