Assistant Lead Engineer – Design

Responsibilities:-

• Identification and requirements specification for the Tower Internals Building Blocks
• Design new solutions from early conceptualization to final detail design
• Optimization of the solutions through FEA assessment and structural calculation
• Verification of the new solutions performing Fit, Form and Function tests in our wind Turbine Tower prototypes
• Coordinate suppliers and co-develop new Building Blocks through Technical Purchase Specifications
• Lead technical work-packages ensuring safety, quality, time and cost expectations

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Bachelor or Master´s degree in Mechanical, Structural, Industrial or Aeronautical Engineering
• Minimum professional experience: 5 years in new product development within the wind industry or similar
• Proven experience in delivering technical work-packages and design through suppliers
• Proven experience with systems engineering or design for six sigma methodologies
• Mechanical design and BoM creation using CAD tools, like CREO
• Structural analysis using FEA tools, like Ansys

• Great interpersonal skills and ability to interact with multi-cultural and diverse teams all around the globe
• Customer-focused and solution-oriented
• Proven ability to work both with limited supervision and in teams in an environment with tight deadlines
• Open-minded and good at sharing and gathering information within a team to bridge the gap between design and value chain
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to plan, scope and organize work package execution
• Self-motivated and target focused – Innovative and enthusiastic with good attention to detail and willingness to take ownership to meet expectations
