APAC Strategy & Market Intel lead

The Strategy and Market Intelligence team at Vestas APAC plays a pivotal role in driving regional business planning, overseeing sub-regional strategies, and ensuring their effective governance. Beyond managing the strategy process, the team conducts in-depth strategic analyses on key business priorities and delivers market intelligence insights to both regional and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities:-

• Co-ordinate growth initiatives/strategy projects across Vestas India
•  Demonstrate intuitive understanding of market drivers and business acumen
•  Monitor market and current environment and provide insights that support strategic decision-making and for use in internal presentations by senior leadership
•  Perform thorough, systematic analysis of key industry trends; the general social economic and political environment; legal and regulatory issues; customers; current and potential competitors
•  Provide market and current insights through presentations and reports to the regional and country team to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation
•  Supplies the market and creative intelligence component of strategic planning, and creatively makes recommendations to management concerning key intelligence items that require further consideration
•  Maintains an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulation and analysis
•  Develops and maintains relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs and business issues
•  Reporting to the Asia Pacific Head of Strategy, the Intel Lead role is a full-time professional position that works with senior management to support strategic planning activities by providing actionable recommendations based on assessments of markets and competitors, both existing and potential

Qualifications and Experience:-

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and significant 3-5 years industry experience in strategy, marketing intelligence, business analytics and marketing
• High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (in particular, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills) is essential
• Ability to articulate with good presentation skills and to contribute to executive-level discourse; good written communication abilities for VPs/ SVPs
• Ability to network effectively at all levels and influence without direct management oversight
• Proven strength in problem solving and analytics and capable of directing insight to action
• Able to operate within a team environment
• Solid understanding of wind and renewable industry, is an added advantage
