APAC Infrastructure Engineer

The role is to manage and deliver a robust, reliable and highly available infrastructure ensuring cost effectiveness and quality. This includes:-

• Develop standards and document processes and procedures for all aspects of the infrastructure.
• Ensure all SLAs are met measuring daily, weekly and monthly KPIs.
• Governance and management of vendors to ensure timely responses, project delivery, cost compliance, understanding of contracts, etc.
• Design and architect the right sized and most cost effective solutions for infrastructure components of projects.
• Full understanding of data centre processes and procedures.
• Work within a fast changing environment with the ability to innovate and implement new solutions.
• Continually learning the latest platforms and technology tools.
• Improve the quality of the Enterprise IT services and create opportunities for human effort reduction, system resilience, and end user satisfaction.
• Collaborate and foster a strong relationship with all Enterprise IT verticals, within the region and globally with other regions.

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Graduate degree, with 5-6 years of experience.
• Monitor SAN environment and backups remediating and documenting incidents
• Oversee storage capacity and performance. Coordinate team activities and manage tickets queue
• Administer Fibre Channel SAN fabrics, including installation,configuration, zoning, software upgrades, and maintenance of switches
• Create and maintain system scripts and programs to support the operations of the storage systems
• Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues with storage systems, Fibre Channel SAN, and IP storage networking
• Provisioning Storage (SAN /NAS – (CIFS/NFS) )
• Managing Replication
• Fiber Switch Management
• Upgrade and Maintain VMWare ESX servers and virtual sessions
• Provide Backup and restore VMWare servers
• Drive RCA preparation and meeting SLA for RCA submission along with planning and implementing fixes / patches
• Performance and capacity management on VMWare servers and complex health check-ups
• Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes
• Proficient in controlling administrator rights on VM Infrastructure, Use of VMware Converter Enterprise and overview.
• Ability to setup of resource pools and a VMware Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS) cluster, Resource Management, Resource Monitoring along with VMware High Availability (HA) cluster
• Proven experience in ESX Server Installation and configuration of virtual switches, network connections and port groups configure Storage
• Expertise in vCenter Installation and configuration and Installation of its components
• Validated understanding to support Level 3 OS monitoring Client Software, Backup and Recovery client, Client Software, automated Security, health checking client, OS monitoring
